These volumes index notices of pending actions (suits) in Equity Court that were filed in the office of the clerk of the city and county of New York from December 1823 to December 1855. The six volumes are part of an eight-volume set that was published in 1857 (under direction of the Commissioners of Records, pursuant to chapter 407 of the laws of 1855) as "Indices to Notices of Suits in Equity."
